Seeing the goings on inside a tissue is a dream. With all of our approaches using histology, a lot is missed at the 3D structural level. This is where tissue clearing and light sheet microscopy comes in!

Rachel, a LEAP postbacc student in the lab, worked with Miltenyi Biotec to make skeletal muscle (think steak) transparent (think gummy bear), thus allowing us to image what is happening inside the tissue.

Dr. Wang presented these late breaking results at the San Diego Multidimensional Spatial Biology Symposium.
